Truffes Noires de Montcuq
121 Chemin De Gounille - Lebreil Lieu-Dit "Montagnac" - 46800 MONTCUQ-EN-QUERCY-BLANC
We are truffle farmers, our farm is based on the territory of Lebreil and we are part of the commune of MONTCUQ in QUERCY BLANC. Famous village since the television program "Le Petit Rapporteur".
The south-facing orientation of the truffles on the hillside, on clay-limestone soils, benefits the exploitation which, in this ideal setting, produces black Périgord truffles. This mushroom belongs to the family of ascomycetes, its botanical name is: Tuber melanosporum.
By visiting the farm, you will also appreciate the Topiary Art practiced in certain truffle fields and you will evolve in a very pleasant, hilly setting, reminiscent of Tuscany.
Soak up this enriching culture of truffles in total immersion in the middle of the truffle fields.
The explanations are well provided, you will learn the different species of truffles cultivated and consumed in France, the life cycle of the truffle, the methods of conservation, use and you will discover the digging with a dog.
(digging: action of making a hole in the ground to find the truffle)
