Once named Saint-Etienne of the Soubirous, Saint-Barthélémy is one of the 10 parish churches in Cahors in the Middle Ages. The large Gothic style building is flanked by an imposing 3-row bell-tower with arched bays.
Jacques Duèze was baptized there in 1244. Once he became Pope, he began reconstruction.
