  • This ramble around Béduer enables you to enjoy the variety of different landscapes between the Causse de Gréalou and the area around Figeac. The Martignes Dolmen is one of the walk's major attractions. The Causse landscape is packed with "cazelles", small dry stone huts (built without any mortar), sometines square but more often round, and always roofed with "lauzes" (stone slabs). "Casèlas" is the Occitan form of "cazelles". The majority were built by farm workers clearing land for cultivation for landowners under the Second Empire (1852-70). Cazelles ("little houses") were used to store grain and other harvest produce, or as shepherds' shelters.
