- Explore the delightful, bucolic Masse valley, its church with remakable wall paintings, its little hamlets, menhirs and dolmens. Built in the 12th C., the church of La Masse with its remarkable wall bell-tower possesses some remarkable wall paintings dating from the late Middle Ages. On the nave walls, one or several anonymous artists painted a representation of the Seven Deadly Sins figuring a procession of people led by demons. Pride is represented by a noble lord riding a lion and holding a falcon; Avarice by a man carrying three moneybags which one can easily imagine bulging with gold.
