- This round walk crosses streams and woods, the basic components of the Ségala landscape and essential to the life of its inhabitants. Woodland is a major component of the Haut Ségala countryside. It covers valley slopes or constitutes blocks of forested land on the plateau where grassy pastures separated by hedges and trees serve to raise cattle. The relief of the plateau is gently indented where streams rise, and lower down is carved into deep granite gorges as the streams become torrents. For the most part inaccessible by road, the valleys are wild areas, largely untouched by Man.
