- This walk will lead you up the Ligoussou hillside separating the Causse plateau from the Célé valley. Several dolmens and houses with interesting architecture enhance this ramble on the causse. "Dry pastures" are the vast stretches of short grass, usually dotted with small bushes, so characteristic of this plateau landscape. They are known as "dry" because the causse limestone's many fissures do not retain surface water, which accentuates the dry summer weather's effects, favouring the development of vegetation adapted to the aridity of the plateau. A very particular type of flora and fauna flourishes here, including numerous species which are rare not only in France but also in Europe.
