Very easy
  • Walk around the commune, its heritage and its landscapes, to make acquaintance with the "Châtaigneraie Figacoise". In the heart of the village is the church. With its imposing size, it is a landmark for travellers on the hills of the Ségala. It is said that Penderenia was founded by order of Pe´pin le Bref in 838. Its forest provided wood for the roofing timbers of the neighbouring town of Figeac. A fes monks settled here, and the church came into being. As the times were not exactly peaceful, they built a defensive bell-tower. The inhabitants could take refuge there, and that is exactly what they did during the Hundred Years' War, when the English pushed as far as this area.
