Balade aux Deux Moulins

This walk through undulating country beside streams and along hilltop ridges will give you sweeping views across the Ségala. The inhabitants of the village had an insoluble problem : where should they build the church ? Finally, the exasperated master mason threw his hammer into the air : "The church will be built wherever it falls !" A dove caught it in flight and then dropped it, so the church was built where it fell. Heaven had given the answer. The image of a dove (colombe in French) has often been portrayed in the village : it appears, carrying an olive branch, in the stained-glass windows of the church, and also on the corners of the recently-restored bell-tower's roof.
