The Domaine de Mériguet is located southwest of Cahors, in the communes of Trespoux and Lacapelle, on the first slopes overlooking the Lot valley. The vineyard covers 8 hectares, exclusively planted with Malbec. Bought in 2002 by the Janicot family, it has nevertheless old vines, planted between 1968 and 1998.
The soil here is very stony clay-limestone, of Kimmeridgian origin with, here and there, a few siderolite veins and some iron concretions.

Without doubt the highest terroir of the appellation, it benefits from an airy climate, allowing it to produce fresh, mineral and very fruity wines.
