Rusty Shears

Rusty Shears is a self catering gite in the South West of France. The 1830’s traditional stone farmhouse & barn is situated on the top of the plateau above the Lot Valley, in the heart of the Cahors vineyards. Set in 5 acres of meadows & walnut orchards our house has been lovingly restored to offer a peaceful and relaxing stay amongst nature in the countryside. With exclusive use of a private patio with large spa hot tub, shaded dining area, bbq, sunbeds and comfy seating perfect for aperitifs.

The barn is open plan with a fully fitted kitchen & breakfast bar. Dining table, two comfy sofas & armchair in the living area with TV. Two double bedrooms with two luxurious bathrooms. There is an open fire & cental heating for winter. Super fast fibre broadband for remote working. Exclusive use of the patio area, where you’ll find a large Hot Tub, sun loungers, large sofa with the option of an umbrella to protect you from the midday sun. A BBQ is available with all the tools and a dining table for you to enjoy your feast. Rusty Shears is very dog and pet friendly, the outside area of the Gite is well protected with panelling, that will keep you dog secure, although a cat would be able to climb the fence.

There are plenty of walks nearby, with public footpaths accessible directly from the Gite. We also have plenty of land where you can throw the ball!
