The Véloroute La Vallée du Lot à vélo is a large tourist itinerary of 430 km, starting in La Canourgue in Lozère and joining Aiguillon in Lot et Garonne; it connects there with the Véloroute des 2 mers.
In its Lot part, the Véloroute enters the department at St Pierre Toirac and then reaches Cajarc before taking a small road that follows the meanders of the Lot to St Cirq Lapopie. Here it leaves the river Lot to climb the causse and join Cahors by a clear plateau road. The route rejoins the Lot at Arcambal and then Cahors. From there it goes into the plain of the AOC vineyard of Cahors on flatter landscapes until Soturac.
